My guest on today’s podcast is Valerie Van Beek, who works with me as an administrative assistant. Her previous work experience includes loan support at a local bank, being a church secretary, and she is currently a GEMS Club Coordinator. What’s unique about Valerie, though, is her family’s commitment to helping those in need, especially children.
In this episode, we discuss how Valerie’s life was influenced by the loss of her sister. Valerie shares how that event sparked an interest in helping other families who are going through struggles. She gives some background for what led them to be involved in the Safe Families program and becoming foster parents. We also talk about what led her back into the working world after spending nearly 6 years as a full-time mom. We conclude the interview by defining success and what she has done to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
I hope you enjoy this episode of the IMPACT Podcast!
